From the book of 1Corinthians 2:6-8
starting from chapter 6;
6. Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know
that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough?
7. Get rid of the old yeast that you may be
a new batch without yeast—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb has
been sacrificed.
8.
Therefore let’s keep the festival not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice
and wickedness, but with bread of sincerity and truth.
Today the Bible tells us that we should
stop with the boasting because it actually ruins our relationship with God and
sways us to an opposite path from which Jesus Christ taught us. Just as a
little yeast acts on a whole piece of dough so does our boasting ruins
everything that’s connects us to our Heavenly Father. From verse 8, God advices
us to get rid of our boasting which is the old yeast and become what we were as
pure men closer to him which is the new batch with no yeast because His only
Son Jesus Christ who is our Passover lamb has been sacrificed for our own sins.
Jesus Christ died for each and every person for they can be saved on the day of
judgment. We should therefore abide to the teachings of our savior Jesus Christ
Prayer of the day; OLORD,
my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because
you will not abandon me to the grave nor will you let your Holy one see decay.
You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in your
presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Oh Heavenly Father see me
through the day and let me not sin. AMEN!!
